Ryan is a Partner of the firm within the Civil Law and Litigation Department of the Firm.
Ryan leads a team of lawyers regularly assisting and representing local and international clients before the Maltese Courts, Tribunals and Arbitration Panels in various contentious matters ranging from property related issues, personal injury claims, succession disputes, fundamental human rights cases, medical negligence claims and various commercial disputes, such as disputes between shareholders. Ryan also has experience in planning law, having assisted several clients with development application issues before the competent courts and tribunals.
Besides his work as a litigator, Ryan also provides legal advice on a variety of civil and commercial transactions and, is proficient in the drafting of various legal instruments. Ryan has also assisted several clients to settle their disputes out-of-court.
Ryan advises a number of major condominium administration and management companies in Malta, and also acts as legal advisor to the Condominium and Building Management Section within the Malta Developers Association.
Ryan read law at the University of Malta and graduated as a Doctor of Laws in 2014 with a thesis entitled “The Regulation of Credit Cards in Malta – the Consumer Credit Contract”, and shortly thereafter, he obtained a warrant to practice as an advocate before the Maltese Courts. In 2017, Ryan was conferred with a Master of Laws degree in Banking, Finance and Corporate Law from the University of London.
