As part of the Summer Placement Programme, students in their third, fourth, or fifth year of studies will be given the opportunity to assist the various departments within the firm on a variety of legal matters and issues thereby receiving a hands-on approach to the legal profession. Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to further their training and participate in our Internship Programme. The role

The Legal Assistant will have a two-fold role. Firstly, the chosen candidate will work closely with the lawyers within the financial services team and other members of the Firm as may be required.

Additionally, the successful candidate will, from time to time, work on a variety of designated projects within the department. As such, the post requires a well-organised individual with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Preparing and filing statutory documentation with the Malta Business Registry
  • Handling administrative aspects of regulatory and statutory filings
  • Drafting correspondence, reports, memoranda, presentations and spreadsheets
  • Attendance at and minuting of board and general meetings
  • Drafting and/or reviewing of contracts and agreements
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Partners from time to time

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in commercial and financial services law.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Excellent command of the English language, ability to understand, speak and write in Norwegian and Serbian, Bosnian or Croatian.

The role

The role of the Client Relationship Officer requires a well-organised individual with great attention to detail. Apart from being methodical in their approach the ideal candidate will also possess excellent people skills. The role requires a creative problem solver who is not afraid to make responsible decisions autonomously whilst following strict procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships, with internal and external customers and communicate effectively.
  • Obtain, process and store information whilst using established procedures to determine compliance with laws regulations, guidelines, and standards.
  • Analyse information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Scheduling visits to government authorities and with clients.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-end client experience through careful planning, outstanding delivery and execution, continuous review of existing procedures and by making methodical and astute interventions when required.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in business administration, law, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of the English language, ability to understand, speak and write in Arabic, Mandarin, or Russian.
  • Previous experience in Hospitality, Real Estate or Consultancy/Accountancy is considered a considerable asset.
